Draft — last updated November 1, 2026

This is a draft for Octolaris, a student scholarship-discovery service for students ages 13 and older. It is not a final legal policy.

What we collect

We collect your account email, optional profile answers you choose to share, and scholarships you save or track. Profile details are optional. We use area-level location, such as your city, county or state, never your home address. We never store your essays.

How your information is used

Your optional profile answers are used only to match opportunities to your story. Your email supports your account, and saved scholarships let you keep track of opportunities. We never sell your information. Your answers are private to your account and are not shown to other students or sponsors.

Research providers

Research providers receive only general topics and area-level regions, not your name, email, private answers or home address. We keep personal answers separate from shared opportunity research.

Contact and waitlist messages

If you contact us, we save your email, message and optional name privately for the Octolaris team to read and respond. If you join the waitlist, we save your email privately. These submissions are not used for scholarship research. We use limited submission counters to reduce spam; they do not store home addresses or raw IP addresses. Please do not send essays or sensitive personal information.

Your choices and deletion

You can update your optional answers and saved scholarships. Deleting your account in Account settings deletes your account's private data. Shared scholarship facts remain available to other students. For a contact or waitlist submission made without an account, request deletion through the Contact form.

Questions

Contact us through the Contact form. Octolaris accounts are for students ages 13+, not children under 13 or parent-owned accounts.
